As Christmas nears why not consider a Christmas Gift of More Trees! 🌳 🎁 💝

Since 2008, More Trees have planted 16,000 trees around Bath and North East Somerset, transforming our local landscapes and creating a wonderful sense of community amongst our volunteers.

Fundraising is what enables us to continue our work and this festive season, we are delighted to be offering gift certificates for donations which will support our work in 2025 and beyond. This might be a personal donation, or a special Christmas gift for someone who appreciates the work we do, or simply loves trees.

We know that our work is delivering huge benefits for everyone that gets involved (they tell us!) and also for the climate and nature and is creating treescapes across Bath and North East Somerset.

We welcome donations of any size and below are a few examples of what we can do with your support:
- A gift of £25 enables us to grow and plant five trees as part of the mini forests we plant around the city
- £50 helps buy essential compost or other materials we use to grow our trees
- £100 helps run a session with children at one of our school tree nurseries

We can provide a beautiful gift certificate for you! 💚

Our last seed collecting trips this year: Smallcombe Woods, Royal Victoria Park and Folly Farm 🍂🫐🌰🍁

And thank you to our wonderful team of volunteers who came every week and braved all sorts of weather from glorious sunshine to freezing cold and torrential rain!

It’s been a fantastic seed collecting season. Here’s to lots of germinating seeds next year! 🤞

Liberated these trees from their plastic tree guards at Archery Field, Weston. It’s always so satisfying seeing them outgrow their guards, and of course good to get plastic out of the environment. We’re pleased to see the huge growth in use of biodegradable guards since these were planted.

This Italian Cypress in Locksbrook Cemetery has ou

This Italian Cypress in Locksbrook Cemetery has outgrown it’s strimmer guard 🌱🌲💪🎉. It’s now vulnerable to strimmers so we’ve mulched it to suppress the grass. Drooping branches are caused by overwatering (welcome to UK!), and overfertilisation - guess the ground is rich in nutrients!

It’s nearly time!

Seed collecting season is shortly upon us. We’ll be visiting a number of stunning woodlands in and around Bath to collect seeds; berries, wings, nuts 🌰🫐

We’ll be starting on Tuesday 10 September and collecting on a weekly basis. If you’d like to join us please check the link in our bio for all the dates and locations.
