Since 2008, More Trees have planted 16,000 trees around Bath and North East Somerset, transforming our local landscapes and creating a wonderful sense of community amongst our volunteers.
In the last few years we have achieved many other amazing milestones – we now have 17 Community Tree Nurseries including 6 in local schools, and a growing group of committed volunteers involved in all aspects of tree growing and planting. This year, we were delighted to open our new central hub in Twerton, giving More Trees its very own home.
All of this happens with the amazing support and contributions of our community. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us this year – whether that be collecting and sowing seeds, planting trees, constructing a polytunnel or making a donation to fund our important work. We couldn’t do any of this without you.
Fundraising is what enables us to continue our work and cover our costs. This festive season, we are delighted to be offering gift certificates for donations which will support our work in 2025 and beyond. This might be a personal donation, or a special Christmas gift for someone who appreciates the work we do, or simply loves trees.
We know that our work is delivering huge benefits for everyone that gets involved (they tell us!) and also for the climate and nature and is creating treescapes across Bath and North East Somerset. Below are a few examples of what we can do with your support:
- A gift of £25 enables us to grow and plant five trees as part of the mini forests we plant around the city
- £50 helps buy essential compost or other materials we use to grow our trees
- £100 helps run a session with children at one of our school tree nurseries
We welcome donations of any size and if you would like to receive a personalised gift certificate then simply go to More Trees for BANES | Localgiving, and once you have made a donation email info@moretrees.earth and we will send the certificate to you with a message of your choice.
Thank you so much again for your support and generosity in 2024 and wishing all of our community a peaceful and happy festive season!
