This was the site of our first tree nursery in a school and was opened by the Lord Mayor and Sheriff of Somerset.
“It was a great opportunity to welcome the team from More Trees BANES, who have been working with the Oldfield Park Junior School Eco team to plant saplings into our new tree nursery. Under the carful watch and care of our Eco team the saplings grew into healthy trees and were lifted and taken out into the community to be replanted.
This opportunity working with team from More trees BANES has been a fun and learning experience for the children. They have learnt how to plant the saplings, how to take care of them and the importance in doing our part for the community. The children were delighted to meet to High Sheriff of Somerset and the Mayor of Bath when they came to official open the nursery.
We look forward to continuing to work alongside More Trees and keep planting the saplings!”
