Fosse Way is a school for young people with additional needs. It caters for 4 – 19 year-olds and is based in Radstock.
5EJ are a group of 6 students based in the Sixth Form and they have been working with More Trees BANES to help set up their new nursery bed in the school grounds. So far, as part of this process, they have enjoyed a ‘classroom based’ seed processing session during the Autumn term, they also collected seeds from the trees in the school grounds for propagating and barrowed a huge pile of soil into the new raised bed.
5EJ have also found the time (and energy) to fundraise £75 towards the cost of the bed installation, through their efforts with a 6-mile sponsored walk. This, along with articles in the school newsletter detailing the class involvement with More Trees BANES, have helped raise awareness in the school and with parents about the new nursery.
5EJ are looking forward to growing some trees this year!
